Beth Zygielbaum
Beth Zygielbaum (she/her) has been a student of yoga since 2001 and an instructor since 2008. In addition to her Hatha certification, she is certified to teach families, children, prenatal and postnatal yoga. Beth is also one of the only Bay Area yoga instructors to hold a certificate in yoga for pelvic health.
Beth began yoga to repair a severe knee injury and quickly realized that yoga was tapping into something much deeper than just the knee ligaments. The mat became a laboratory, a safe test ground for noticing habits, challenges, strengths, and spirit with loving eyes. Beth's practical, accessible, and humorously irreverent classes have been described by a student as "deep practice with a light heart."
Beth's experiences with pregnancy, and the birth of her own three children brought her to specialize in prenatal/postnatal and yoga for pelvic health to fill a glaring gap in healthcare for women. She has been teaching these classes since 2010. With her expertise, she offers educational workshops and often works one-on-one with students to rehabilitate pelvic issues of all sorts.
Prior to opening a yoga studio, Beth earned a master's degree in geosciences and had a 10-year career in concert and festival production. She is a wife, and mother of three small kids who make her insane, and insanely happy.
